First off, just a shout out to Deep Silver and the gang for making such an amazing trailer. If you have not seen it yet, it would be worth your time to You Tube it. So here I am at Comic-Con and the board just screams out at you. I pull another ninja vanish on Chris and get a taste of what is to come with this Zombie co-op, and let me tell you, its freaking sweet! So here we are on vacation island and now were fighting for our lives. It'd simple enough and to the point. Now the twist, it’s almost as if you’re stuck here for good, so better start figuring out how to survive period! So your characters get to level up, learn skills, ala RPG style game play. Now you can also craft weapons, upgrade ones you have, etc... So you see where I am going. Get four friends together, get online, create characters, and try and survive this zombie nightmare. Not as quick draw as Left 4 Dead, but I think it’s time to take it to the next level. Zombies are it right now, I’m cool with that, so let’s get some good quality zombie fun out there, and Dead Island is going to be just that.

Silent Hill: Downpour
Silent Hill is just downright scary fun! Play it at home, later on in the evening with all the lights out and the surround sound on, and wow. Several times have I jumped at being shocked or scared. Here’s the cool thing about Downpour. It’s all about the building fear. In the small section I played, I was stuck in a room trying o get out when the rain started. It hit so hard that the room began to fill. There I am wondering where to go when I notice the power box on the wall that is sparking. I am going to die. Panic and run what to do what to do, oh here comes a creature. It starts off with fear, moves you into terror, and then throws shock at you. I was very impressed with the graphics and look of the game, and the story of our hero being a villain is good play for Silent Hill to sink its teeth into. Needles to say I was able to get the water down and deal with my baddie, but I was not left unscarred. Downpour is going to give the puzzle solving element of Silent Hill some intensity with its use of rain and water. I am excited and cannot wait to visit the town of Silent Hill once again. It’s one of my favorite little haunts to visit.
Resistance 3
I have long been a fan of this franchise. The Resistance series caught me off guard when I was trying it out one day. So after being hooked and playing the second one, I am dying for the 3rd installment. The fact that you have now moved into a world that is overrun with invaders is going to put a new fresh twist on the story. As this area was packed, and the only thing I could do was watch the game in action. The FPS still runs smooth and the look of the game is great. I witnessed some sniper rifle like action on a hill side and it was nice! Of course I have my pre-order at GameStop ready to go. This is a series that has not disappointed me yet, so I may be biased, but I think we have a solid 3rd entry into the franchise.
Kinect Star Wars
This is going to be loads of fun! The Kinect didn’t look or feel like it lagged on the reaction time a bit, and the on screen prompts were well placed. It was fun to see head to head split screen where you worked together and used 2x the power. The light sabers were the only thing I felt will take a bit to get used to. I think it’s going to be the speed of movement that’s the trick, but hopefully they will tweak it a bit before release. What do you think of the new 360 LE console for Star Wars Kinect?
Rise of Nightmares
Kinect’s first stab at a horror survival game played without a controller. I got to stand to the side and watch this being played. While my demo friend was being attacked by a banshee, the screen alerts you to cover your ears as everything goes blurry. She maniacally floats around you waiting, and that’s when it happened. After a little fudging with the motion capture, my demo friend pulls out a chainsaw and goes to town on this high pitched bitch! Rise of Nightmares is going to be one of those that speaks to a select crowd. It has the potential to really step up the Kinect into more hardcore gamers, but only if it is done well. If the play gets choppy, the Kinect gets twitchy, and access to your inventory gets convoluted with hand motions, then you may spend more time flapping your arms then fighting off the demons that torture you. Worth a look see, when this comes out I will have to give it some initial lovin before deciding if I should just put it to sleep.
X-Men Destiny
Okay, being the huge Marvel fan that I am. I have to tell you that when I heard this, I was not all that happy. In my opinion, DC Online was a flop. The monthly cost for what I felt was not all that left a sour taste in my mouth. I heard about this and was excited, but not thrilled. You get to play one of three mutants whose power begins to develop and must make choices along the way regarding who you will side with. The demo I played was a small snippet of a couple of battle scenes. The game play was really easy to get into, and it had a move and feel like Infamous. The battle was great with there being an easy transition to attacking multiple enemies, but what finally pushed me over to the good side, was the cameos. There I am in the heat of battle and Quicksilver shows up to lend a fellow mutant a hand. Now the question is what does he want from me now that I have helped him. All of this rolled together makes X-Men Destiny an intriguing piece of game that I want to know more and more about.
Uncharted 3
I saw this, got in line, went to the screen, began to play, and that’s when I peed a little. I am a huge fan of Uncharted. I can’t say anything bad about this series. I just love it. I played 1 and then 2 back to back, and then played them again. Characters, dialogue, images, play control, are all just gorgeous. I hope I’m not ruining this (if I am please come out from under that rock), but it looks like Chloe is back! I’m all for Elena kids, don’t get me wrong, but I just love me some Chloe! For fans of Uncharted it is not going to disappoint. Its multiplayer is awesome (the airport/hangar area is bad ass), and while they seem to be going back to Nathan’s past involving his lineage (what is it that his ring holds the clue too?), I think we’re in for a solid story with some great action. I've already ordered the CE version, so I am just counting down the days until I get to be the bad ass Nathan Drake once again. Hmm maybe I’ll play Uncharted 1 and 2 again…
Saints Row the Third
I have never played any of these. As a matter of fact this was a game that was off my radar for a long time. My little brother and I have a war going on. He’s a Saints Row guy, and I am partial to Grand Theft Auto. With that being said I saw the booth and did the walkthrough… ummm. Okay it doesn’t look like a bad game. The cinematics were pretty impressive and the idea of truly building yourself up and taking over a city is cool, but I’m sorry attacking your enemies with a 3ft purple dildo while you’re in half a bunny costume really loses its punch. I think fans of the series will flock to this one like no other. The addition of the hover jet is awesome, the new gangs are funny (the Luchadores were my fave), and overall it could be a good time. I just wasn’t sold on it. So little brother, this one's on you. Convince me if you can and see if I will write a retraction! Game on.
Final Fantasy XIII-2
WOW! WOW! And WOW! Okay I’m not spoiling the ending of XIII for anyone who lives under a rock and has not played this (Chris), so needless to say your just gonna have to suck it up and move on. With that said, this has the makings to be an amazing sequel to an already amazing game. Graphics, play style, and controls all pretty much remain the same. Amazing images (yes, even Chris saw this at Comic-Con and said damn! and he hates the series) and backgrounds played on 1080 are insanely detailed. Even in the boss battle I demo’d, the movements were fluid and oh so beautiful. Paradigm shifting is back and there are a few tweaks I think most fans of the series will find positive. I hear through the rumor mill that they are moving away from a linear game into more of an open area, but alas this was not available to me. All in all January of 2012 cannot come fast enough (let’s be honest though, if it doesn’t get delayed, I will look outside for aerial pigs). The images are a bit funky, but it was difficult to get some pics of screen shots. Guess who’s getting a new camera! Enjoy my friends.

Okay gang, here they are! I went to Comic-Con down in San Diego and had an amazing time. I also got to spend a good portion of that time playing video games and trying a bunch of new stuff. What I have done is included some pictures with some good stories, fun times, and interesting reviews for you to look at. I hope you enjoy, and feel free to comment. Dungeon Siege III
So what we have is a good little game where we can choose from one of four types of characters. After making your choice, you then follow a linear map series towards your goal. Along the way you gain experience and level up. You unlock chests and find items to equip your.... Oh wait I am sorry I just described every other role playing game out there. If your a RPG'er then you will get enjoyment out of this one. I did. it's fun, but its simple. It kind of has a Diablo feel. The real trick with this is the multiplayer. It is a really good time getting 3 others together and letting the four of you follow the map and level up. Simply put, its playing an RPG on a big screen with friends if you like that, then you will have a good time with friends playing this. If you don't, then you may wanna pass on this.
Leave a message!!
So in starting this blog up, I am now setting aside a small little forum where friends and newcomers can drop a friendly line about whatever. So feel free to leave me a post, or comment on one of the reviews!
Killzone 3
Okay so I must admit that I am a noob in the area of first person shooters. I've been playing them a lot recently, but to be honest, I'm way late for this bandwagon. So with that being said, Killzone 3 is a pretty good game. The controls are a bit funky and take a bit of getting used to (especially for me as this is my first break in to the Killzone series), but i picked it up fast and it was fine. An interesting story guides you on in your standard war scene. The play is pretty fluid and has several well shot cinematics that make for an interesting time. I like it and am continuing on in the story, knowing that by the end of it I will have had a good time playing this game.

Hunted: The Demon's Forge
So I started playing this on the 4th because it was so damn hot outside!! So a big shout out to Mother Nature because this is turning out to be a really great game. You have some very solid co-op play (very reminiscent of Resident Evil 5- a plus!) between your warrior and your archer. Even when playing by yourself, the co-op partner does their fair share of the work. The game has a simple weapon system, your main weapon and your back-up, that's it, with both players able to use the same base magics, all of which are upgradeable through a crystal collection system. The gameplay itself has a great targeting system for weapons and crossbows, while very much maintining the 'hack and slash' feel you get when using a sword. The story is beginning to unfold in front of me, and since I am not a spoiler kind of guy I will just say that I wouldn't trust that sorceress as far as my warrior could chuck her! Good game, a lot of fun, simple enough to enjoy without being weighed down by too much role play element. I think this could be a co-op game that brings non-RPG'ers into the fantasy realm. That's my beef.. what's yours?

Welcome to the Revolution!
An introduction is always necessary, I mean heck you want to know what your getting into right! Well, simply put, let's talk games. We spend time and money to play games, and yet sometimes have little to no outlet to talk serious talk about games. Most of the time we wind up listening to some online player rant and rave about something while we're trying to get off a head shot. I figure this. I want to know what other people outside of my friends think about games, play, online, development etc.. so I have created this blog for us. Now we as consumers have a place to let our voice be heard. Feel free to have open, honest, and respectful communication. I encourage it. My hopes are to create forums where we can have these discussions, network, and build a stronger gaming community! Join now! Be a part of the Revolution
